There was one small section that Eric couldn't reach with the back-hoe. It took the two of us about a 1/2 hour to dig down 24 inches. The ground is sand and baseball sized rocks.

Eric said this is only the second time he's worn the seatbelt in the dozer. The other time was at the ski resort on the north side of this ridge line.

The red stuff is trench tape. The trench is backfilled about 12-18 inches, then we lay the tape. That way if any future bonehead starts digging on our hill they can go, "What's that?" right before they get a shock.
