First we hung the fibreglass, by stapling it to the very top. The staples will be covered by a trim piece.

We cut a small strip of 6mm poly and used it to cover over the back flange of the shower base. Then we overlapped the flange with the cloth. The plastic prevents the cloth from sticking to the base. Which is important if the base should ever move.

The epoxy is brushed on, it's important to cover all of the cloth as any sections that aren't completely saturated will appear whitish, regardless of successive coats.

There will be a total of 4 coats. We'll sand after coat #2, and again after the last coat.

The trim plate for the shower controls will overlap the fibreglass by several inches.

The wood behind the showerstall is separate from the wood wall of the bathroom. That way if the shower wall fails we can replace it with little difficulty. There will be a 2" trim piece, cut to hold the glass walls, that covers this seam.
