Mike and the guys started on the soffits today, they got most of the way down the east side. The soffits are silver aluminum, the fascia is silver Galvalum. So everything should match.
Now if we could just get the plumber out there we'd really be moving along.

re: telephone connection
Two years ago when we had our phone connected (600 metres) we had to pay for the trencher and the telephone company supplied the cable free. And the cable was 10-pair!! Seems they have a rule that any connection over 200 metres has to have lots of spare pairs in case of further sub-division. Can't remeber the total cost but it was a lot less than $Aus1000. All up we are about 15Km from the telephone exchange (office?) so I can't see that 900 metres from the main cable would create any technical problems.
